Accessibility

Last updated 13 October 2026.

This site is built to be usable with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, and without a mouse. That was a decision made while writing the markup, not something added afterwards.

What was done

The target is WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

Being straight about the standard

There is no binding technical accessibility standard for private business websites in the United States. The Department of Justice's 2024 rule setting WCAG 2.1 Level AA applies to state and local government, not to businesses, and in a February 2026 court filing the United States said it does not endorse WCAG as the required standard under Title III of the ADA.

WCAG 2.1 AA is used here anyway, because it is the benchmark courts and settlements reference and because it is the right way to build a page.

No accessibility overlay

This site does not use an accessibility overlay, toolbar or widget. Those products promise compliance by adding a script to a page, and the evidence does not support the promise: a large share of accessibility lawsuits in 2025 were filed against sites that were already running one, and in April 2025 the Federal Trade Commission obtained a $1 million order against an overlay vendor over its compliance claims. The accessible thing to do is write accessible markup, so that is what was done.

Known limits

Product files are PDFs. The guided journal and the fillable kits have been built with real form fields and a tagged reading order where the tooling allows, but PDFs are harder to make fully accessible than web pages. If you need the content of a product in another format, ask and I will produce one for you at no charge.

Purchases happen on Gumroad, which is not a site I control or can fix.

Tell me what is broken

If any part of this site is hard to use with assistive technology, write to info@consultingconnectionllc.com or call (703) 493-1126. Tell me what you were trying to do and what happened. I aim to reply within one business day and to fix genuine barriers quickly. If a fix will take time, I will say so and offer another way to get what you needed.
